Silviculture 2
Burnaby: POSTPONED

For Forestry Pupils/FIT's

Silviculture II deals with the stand tending silviculture practices from free growing through to final harvest of a stand. These include thinning, fertilization, pruning, and silviculture systems and their relationship to timber quality, structural biodiversity, habitat and stand growth and yield and allowable cuts at the forest level. Decision making in crop planning, stand dynamics, operational problems and relevant history policy and regulatory issues and underlining science theory are also covered. The combination of pre-course reading capped by on-site experience makes this an effective forest science course for those whose commitments prevent a more extended course engagement.

The cost of this course is $1150, however participants are responsible for their own lodging and meals.
