Following a successful 2005 conference, we are pleased to announce another gathering of the visual resource management community! The BC Forest Service, Forest Practices Board, University of Washington, and University of British Columbia are working together to make this conference a reality.

The objective of the conference is to share information about visual resource management issues and solutions in a variety of domestic and international jurisdictions. We will provide practitioners with the latest information on operational approaches, new research results, and emerging visual management issues.

Over the course of two days, using a mix of plenary and concurrent sessions, we will focus on providing attendees with valuable take-home messages by presenting information on key issues relevant to both practitioners and researchers. The agenda includes talks on public perception research, impacts of mountain pine beetle, visualization technology, certification/stewardship, tourism, visual design, wind power developments, and other topics.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Anyone interested in better understanding the challenges and benefits of visual resource management or anyone involved in the planning and management of visual resources should attend.

TRADE SHOW

In addition to the presentations, we will host a trade show for commercial exhibitors. The registration fee for this includes conference registration (including meals and refreshments), floor space, chairs, skirted table, and partitions. Lighting and other options are available at an additional charge. Please contact us prior to March 27th to make these arrangements.

For those wishing to share information about projects of a research, scientific, or academic nature, there is also a poster session.
